The project is called ‘Another Voice that Speaks’ - comprising photography, audio and text by Lydia Martin www.lydiamartin.net
The aim of the project is to celebrate ordinary people, their diversity of stories and experiences and how they think about the world.
Those included in the project do not have to have some big story to tell – what’s important is that people have wanted to share their thoughts with others, when they might not have the opportunity normally.
These themes chime with the Olympics and Paralympic values of respect, diversity and friendship, as well as Black History Month and Refugee Week for example, or community events.
The exhibition was in London and Norwich in September and touring Norfolk libraries in October. It will be available as a resource in the future for community events and organisations that promote diversity.
